Our point of view

Mechanism matters most when it travels.

HCU uses computational catalysis to investigate and design heterogeneous catalysts across multiple scales. We begin with electronic structure and active sites, build material and reaction models, and carry the resulting insight toward kinetics, reactors and process optimisation.

Our wet-lab and international collaborations let computation do more than screen candidates: it helps explain performance, diagnose deactivation and design experiments with sharper hypotheses.

HCU through the years.

The original About page documented the people behind the research through a growing archive of group photographs. That record is preserved here.
